                  Leviticus 24:14--29

The Lord said if you will not obey my commands, you will be punished. If you refuse to obey my laws and commands and break the covenants. I have made with you, I will punish you. I will bring disaster on you- incurable disease and fevers that will make you blind and cause your life to waste away. You will show your seeds but it will do you no good, because your enemies will conquer you and eat what you have grown.
I will turn against you, so that you will be defeated, and those who hate you will rule over you, you will be so terrified that you will run when no one is chasing you.I will break your stubborn pride; there will be no rain, and your land will be dry and as hard as iron. All your hard work will do you no good, because your land will not produce crops, and the trees will not produce fruits.
I will cut of your food supply, so that ten women will need one oven to bake all the bread they have. They will ration it out, and when you have to eaten it all, you will still be hungry. Your hunger will be so great that you will eat your own children.
How admire me this Scripture.
I like this Scripture so much because it is so relevant to our Chin Community. The reason is that nowadays we the Chin People have been to migrate from Chin State in Myanmar to Western Countries because of poverty and financial problems.
When I read this Scripture, I think that God punishes us because of our sins of pursuing His Gospel into our own way instead of pursuing His way. We are facing a lot of problems like social problems and poverty in our Country now. In the Scripture God said, I will break your stubborn pride; there will be no rain, and your land will be dry and as hard as iron. All your hard work will do you no good, because your land will not produce crops, and the trees will not produce fruits.
In this way we do the most dangerous and terrible thing in front of God without realizing the consequences of our activity. So that we get massive migrant and encounter a lot of problems as punishment from God. This is what I am thinking.
So I want to conclude that we must obey the commands of   Lord and we need to do the will of God in our daily life. If not, our life and our nation can be destroying the word of God.
God bless…. Be a happy and meaningful Sunday for you!
With love!
