The mystery of Human life

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16)

When God created man, He has purposes and plans. He did not create simply. God created man to fulfill His purposes and plans. And He wants man to be the instrument of the kingdom of God. He created man to control or rule all over the creatures that He made. God intends to express Himself through man. For this purpose, man was created in His image (Gen1:26-27). We are the likeness of God just as a glove is made in the shape of hands in order to contain the original hands. In the same way, man was created in the image of God in order to contain God in human’s spirit. He also created man to maintain and cultivate the creatures according to His purposes and plans.

When glove maker makes a glove he has a purpose and plan. He makes in different sizes with different colors. Some are smaller and some are bigger in sizes so that different people can wear in each particular size. Likewise, God has a plan for everyone according to his/ her ability and capacity. God did not call everyone to be a pastor, or a minister, church leader, political leader, and governor. May be some of you are sellers, shopkeepers, pastors, politicians, farmers and workers. No matter who you are, and what you are God is calling you on what the position you are right now. The only one thing we need to do is to be faithful to His calling and be wise for His purposes and plans so that He will make the right way for us even in the future. To fulfill His plans, God made man as a vessel (Rom 9:21-24). This vessel has three components (body, soul and spirit). The body contacts and receives the things of physical realm, the soul (mental faculty) contacts and receives the things of psychological realm and the last part and important in human’s life is man’s inner spirit, which contacts and receives God Himself.

(John 4:24) says that God is Spirit and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth. Man was not merely created to contain food in his stomach and not merely contain knowledge in his mind but he was created to be contain God into his spirit. Before man could contain God in his heart sin entered into man, and sin destroyed man’s spirit and mind that man became the enemy of God in his mind per se and transmuted his body to sinful flesh. Therefore, sin damages the three parts of human’s life (body, soul and spirit). Man was totally alienated from God; in this condition, man could not receive God in his spirit and communicate with God because of his sinful nature. So, man lost his identity and has no more the likeness of God. In order to accomplish His plans, God sent His beloved Son (Jesus Christ) who died on the cross to redeem human, taking away the sin of human and bringing back to God.

Finally, in resurrection, Christ became giver of life, giver of new spirit. Since Christ had become the giver of life, human can express God’s grace, love and mercy through Jesus Christ. Now man received God in his spirit not because of the right thing he did in the past life but because of His love, grace and mercy, human sins are forgiven. To receive this new life, man needs to repent and accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior and Lord. (John 14: 6) says that I am the truth, the way and the life. It’s proving that He is the only way of salvation. How wonderful savior Jesus was and is! Salvation was initiated by God, (John 15:16) Jesus says, “You did not choose me but I chose you.” On the other hand, salvation was not man’s ideas, but rather God’s ideas. Man is saved once and for all because his salvation is the basic nature of God’s plans for eternity. Jesus fulfilled the three parts of human body, soul and spirit. By the blood of Jesus Christ, we have ability to fulfill God’s purposes and plans. Through Christ we received salvation (John 3: 16). We have received the insurance of salvation which is how we know that we are saved.  We also have received security of salvation which is how we know that we never lose our salvation.

Many Christians received salvation but some people have a little joy in that salvation because they don’t have intimate relationship with God. This is the condition of many Christians today. They are saved but in their daily life they have a little experience of enjoyment that Christ has done for them. However, God’s intention is not only we have Christ in us but also we enjoy with Christ since the moment we accept Jesus, we are in Christ and Christ is in us. The life of Christian is to exalt God with unspeakable joy and fully of glory. We can’t lose salvation but we may lose the enjoyment of that salvation. Now God’s plan is fulfilling in us through Jesus Christ who bestows salvation by giving his life. We do not deserve to be called His children but God Himself had initiated man for his salvation. Now we got His salvation without paying any price. We are the rebuilders of these three vessels (body, soul and Spirit) in order to receive God and enjoy with His great blessings in our lives. AMEN!

May the good God bless you through hearing this short Message!
